A Families Journey of Life & Love

Back to Work

March 31, 2008 by Stephen Pasquini

6mths today!

Hobbies: sitting, bathing, hanging upside down, washing hands

Few! I made to half a year and I finally got my first cold. I don’t know what all the fuss is about, I can deal with a drippy nose here and there. What I hate, is when mom tries to wipe it! Why does she have to do that? Dad says to use the bulb. What’s that? I’m very scared. Just let me drip, it doesn’t bother me.

Well, the tittle is Back to Work. Mom finally did it. She’s back in the real work for at least two days a week. I was wondering if she could talk normal. She did cold turkey from me though last week and left the whole week. It’s a good thing I’m pretty easy going. The first three days I was with Dad (with a little Grandma on the side). We had losts of fun. I found out that dad also has the capability of feeding, consoling and napping me almost just as well as Mom. It’s such a relief to have such a great backup. Dad’s a lot of fun too. We went hiking in my new backpack. It was a great highlight of the week. Again though I slept through most of it and dad kept checking to make sure of was alive up there. I’m wonding when I’m going to stop napping through the great scenery in this world.

Day care on Thurs/Friday was ok. The first day i didn’t see it coming. One minute Mom’s there and the next, no Mom. I cried a lot, but Grandma came to visit and fed me. Mom only made me do a half day. I was so exhausted I took a two hour nap with Mom afterwards. The next day was a little better, but mom couldn’t dupe me in the morning. I emediatly cried when Fon took me from Mom, I knew what was coming. I made some friends from the day before though and they have toys there that I don’t have at home. This time when Grandma visited, I was very happy sitting in a high chair playing the piano. I played cheer leader for the boys again when Parker’s dad came to play football. Mom said I should play ball and not chearlead. I tried, but I”m really good at waiving my hands up in the air and screaming right now. I’ll keep to my current talents until I figure out my fingers more. This time when Mom picked me up, I wasn’t ready to go, I think I hurt mom’s feelings. She seems very happy/excited about her new job.

Today we (Grandma, Grandpa and I ) worked really hard watching Mom and Dad empty the Seabright house. It’s going to get a makeover. I wonder what it will look like when it’s done. Dad and Grandma kept arguing (or as Dad calls it: passionately discussing) about THE WALL. Dad got rid of the boat this week also. I’ll never know what I missed. Maybe Grandpa B. will have to take me out when I come visit and I’ll learn to water ski with him.

I’m sleeping in Mom and Dad’s room this week because Grandpa is visiting for two weeks and the seabright house will hopefully be under construction. Back to the bassinet for a while ( I still fit, barely). I hope Mom and Dad don’t snore. Maybe I’ll get fed faster in the middle of the night. I’ll keep you updated on that.

Gotta go to go now, look for some bath photo’s soon. I love sitting in the tub. Sitting is so much fun, It opens up a whole new world.

Today we
