Friday a nasty storm went through and our power went out for 24hrs! Mom was bored to tears. I thought I was entertaining enough, but I guess she wants someone to speak English occasionally to her throughout the day even if it is the radio or TV. She searched high and low throughout the house for batteries for the bedroom radios. They didn’t even work with batteries in them. I got to see more of the house and something called the garage. It looked like a very hazardous place. It was raining and windy so hard we couldn’t go outside all day. I’m not much into board games yet so it was a good thing Mom had a good book to read. Finally around 4 it cleared enough to venture out. WE first had to check out the waves and they were huge. Next, mission to find batter ies for the boom box. Safeway was closed, Longs had batteries but of coarse had every battery except D’s. Because mom says every flash light and radio takes D’s. Yikes, no English until Daddy would come home at 9. When we got back it was already dark, so I took lots of naps and Mom lit a lot of candles. I got all confused about bedtime and for the last two nights haven’t been able to sleep well. Saturday the lights came back on early in the morning and I didn’t think Mom could be so happy. We went straight to work cleaning, baking bread and vaccumming. We like electricity.
The last few days I’ve been working very hard on my hand work, My accidental hits are starting to make sense and a Ball Grammy gave me in my Stocking is really fun. There’s lots of holes and it is easy to grab a hold of even if I don’t do it on purpose. Mom and I are working on my tummy time, and tonight I was happy cooing and talking to a little green frog. I’m still very stuck in one place on my tummy but I can keep my head up indefinably now. I get frustrated after about 2-5min and want back on my back so I can move my limbs easily. I am very content sitting in Daddies lap at anyplace other than home. I’ve figured out home and need new things to look at.
Well got to go now, I’m trying a new bed time out tonight. 830! sure hope I can sleep through the night.
